NTPC and EDF Power Solutions India (a subsidiary of France's Electricité de France) have formed a 50:50 joint venture, signed on September 25 in the presence of NTPC Chairman Gurdeep Singh and EDF CEO Bernard Fontana. The partnership focuses on co-developing renewable energy, pumped storage, hydropower, and distribution projects across India and neighboring regions to support national decarbonization and clean energy targets.
